Governance

The Parochial Church Council (PCC)

St Laurence’s is run by its PCC.

The PCC is made up of the Rector, other clergy, the two churchwardens, and about 6 church members. Apart from the Rector and other clergy,  all the members are elected at our annual meeting, usually held each Spring.

PCC Policies

The Parochial Church Council (PCC) is responsible for the governance of the Parish and does this by producing policies and handbooks which empower the clergy, officers and members of the Church to implement the vision of the Church.
The day-to-day management of the Church is achieved by the Incumbent, clergy and those who have accepted an office or delegated responsibility, working together and co-operating by implementing the policies of the PCC.

The current PCC policies are listed below. If you have any questions about a PCC policy please contact the Rector or churchwardens in the first instance.

PCC Committees

The PCC usually meets monthly, and delegates much of the day-to-day running of the church to a number of committees and working groups. These committees include both PCC members and people from the wider congregation.

We’re always keen to involve congregation members, so if you’re interested and willing to help with a committee have a word with one of the churchwardens.

Events Committee
