St Laurence’s church is the second largest parish church in the country and is known as the Cathedral of the Marches. It costs about £1,100 a day to sustain the beautiful building of St Laurence’s. Can you help us to conserve it? . There are many ways in which you can support us: giving your time as a volunteer, making a donation or remembering us in your will. Please remember to gift aid your donation if you are a UK taxpayer.

Opportunities for Giving
Two organisations bear the load of funding the maintenance and upkeep of St Laurence’s Church. The Conservation Trust, commonly known as the Palmers, continues the tradition of the Friends of St Laurence in raising funds for major projects to maintain and protect the heritage fabric. The Parochial Church Council (PCC) funds the ongoing running costs of the church and the daily non-heritage maintenance.
It does so from:
• Regular gift-aided donations from a wide network of supporters, parishioners and our congregation
• Grants from charitable trusts and other organisations towards specific projects and charity works
• One-off donations from individuals
• Fundraising events
• Legacies
