Rector - Rev'd Kelvin Price

Kelvin was appointed Rector of Ludlow in June 2016; prior to his appointment since 2014 he was Team Vicar in the Ludlow Team Ministry with responsibility for the parishes in the Ashford's Group, as well as playing a role within the Team Ministry as a whole.

Kelvin was ordained in 2010 following a career in the army; he was born in 1978 and raised in Sutton Coldfield. After leaving school, he completed a four year electrical engineering apprenticeship and then for a short while was a senior personal fitness instructor. He served as a Non-Commissioned Officer with the Royal Green Jackets and it was during this time as a soldier that his calling to ministry and the Church was searched out. After being accepted by the Church of England to start training for the priesthood, he studied at the University of Oxford, and successfully completed his degree of Bachelor of Theology in June 2010. He was ordained Deacon in Hereford Cathedral in the July and took his place as Curate in the Cleobury Mortimer Benefice. Apart from loving his ministry to God and the Church of England, Kelvin loves to watch and play sports - primarily golf and football - but spends much of his spare time with his wife Ruth and their six children.
