The Diocese of Hereford may not always have been at the forefront of national life and politics but its deans and bishops can tell a fascinating story.

This series selects bishops and deans from four successive centuries, places them in their historical and theological context and asks what each may be saying to the Church of today:

*   1 March - 1550- 1650
*   8 March - 1650-1750
*  15 March - 1750-1850
*  22 March - 1850-1950

The Very Revd Michael Tavinor has been Dean of Hereford since 2002. Before that he served in the dioceses of London, Ely and Gloucester. This lecture series builds on his interest in local figures - a subject which provided the impetus for his 2012 book 'Saints and Sinners of the Marches'.
